	<title>Fire Safety Product</title>
	<description>
Grab a fire safety product, then grab another
A lot of people are worried about fires. But those same people do not have the intelligence or the foresight to know that they can do a lot to prevent it on their own. One important fire safety product every American should have on hand is an extinguisher. Just think about this one for a moment. It is so easy to use a fire extinguisher and quickly retard the flames. To shun the chance to equip your home with a fire extinguisher would be, well, retarded. Sorry. But how often to you get to use "retard" in that context?

Alright, so that's one fire safety product you know about. Another one is a smoke detector. Your home probably has one if it was built at all recently. But, here's where you are going to go wrong with smoke detectors:

They are old and not up to standards that will really ensure fire safety.
They are fully functional, but the batteries are old and dying and or dead.
They are only in one area of the house, leaving most parts vulnerable.

You see, when it comes to fire safety products, it's not just that you have them. They have to work, you have to know how to use them, you have to be aware of when you have to use them, and you have to be smart so that you never have to use them. In that sense, you could say that the most effective fire safety product is the one between your ears. Your brain, dog. What you do in order to lessen the chances of a disaster before one strikes is as important as what you do to defend yourself after one does. So learn what you must about fire safety tips, but remember that preventing fires is tantamount to an overwhelming victory of sorts.
