There are many places in the United States where , by law, every pool must be surrounded by pool fences and each municipality has their own regulations that should be known before you buy or install your fences. You can incur some pretty hefty fines if you do not have pool fences properly in place.

As we said the first step you should take is to contact the local authorities to make sure that you have everything up to code. Besides that follow these guidelines for added safety:

Even if you do not have any children, pool fencing should be installed and you might be legally bound to do so. Check with officials or you run the risk of large fines. It is not unknown for neighboring children to find their way into other people's pools. This is one pool safety product that you simply cannot do without.
