	<title>Pool Safety Product</title>
	<description>

The fact that more children under the age of 5 die from drowning each year in this country than for any other reason should be impetus enough for most of us to pay more attention to pool safety. We need our children and our neighbors' children to be safe in our yards and pool areas and that can only be ensured with proper supervision and a lot of thought given to the pool safety product that can save lives. Having a pool fence all around the pool area is your best defense against the danger that water presents.

Know the regulations before you buy
This is one of the few products that are actually mandated by law in many states and municipalities. They each have their own regulations so it is important that you check with your local authorities before you go ahead and buy pool fences. They have to be at least 4 feet high and not have any gaps underneath where a little one could squeeze through. They also have to have gates that open only from a latch at the top that cannot be reached by little hands. And they should also surround the entire pool area, the pool should not be able to be accessed from any door leading into the house or yard. Theses are some of the rules that are generally followed, but there are others that will be unique to your area.

If you already this pool safety product installed, always make sure that it is up to par and functioning properly. Check it periodically to see that it is sturdy and that the gates' latches are also working as they should. Like all safety products, pool fences need to be properly maintained. Keeping an eye on them and doing scheduled checks should ensure that your pool are is safe for everyone.
